I consider myself to be a practicing Muslim. When I first accepted Islam I was a Wahabi and thought being a Muslim meant I had to become an Arab-Wannabe Scholar foot kisser. By after I began searching for my own Islam, the way I wanted to follow it (eventually Shia Islam), a Shaykh told me don't think that being Muslim means you have to abandon who you are.

lovely sound...i like taqwacore..but religion and stenchcore...uh...it´s a lil bit strange because i only know crust bands with an "anti-religious" aspect..but i like the way taqwacore fights against the klischees of the islam! (and thats only one point)

@AbdullahAliZulfiqar The same goes for me, brother, although instead of Shi'a Islam I veered toward Sufism. I still revere the 12 Imams, however. It's amazing what one will find when they do their own research, and find their own way. Islam is Huge, it's a lot bigger than what some people (both Muslims and non-Muslims) want everyone to think.
