if you want to smoke. that's your decision. if you want to smoke for 40 years, that's also your decision. you pay for your cigarettes, again, your decision. i'm all for that. now why is it that after years of smoking you are diagnosed with lung disease and can barely breathe much less work that i have to, with my tax money, pay for your SSI and oxygen? that is not my decision. i don't owe you anything ,noone ever made you my ward. i did petition for guardianship of you.

@MuayThaiViking The point is that most people who smoke have no idea what they are putting into their bodies. I agree with you that banning smoking is definitely not the right approach. Education is the best choice IMO; although it does have its limits since most people are too stubborn to believe that anything bad can possibly happen to them.

@MauiThiaViking yes but obviosly educating them early has not worked. I am 15 and i smoke every now and then because all my friends do and i got curiose. I did not crack under peer pressure.
