Speaking at an experience sharing program on ''Haiti Experience and Lessons for Nepal', organised by the United Nations office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA) in Lalitpur Friday, national and international experts who even worked in Haiti, have said that Nepal should learn more from the recent earthquake in Haiti, and get equipped to reduce effects of such a disaster in future. Over 200,000 citizens in Haiti died and more than 300,000 displaced an earthquake of seven Richter magnitude hit Haiti on January 12, 2010.
