@twilightlily ahmadinejad's strategy has always been to target the poorest, least educated, lower-class. That's where he got most of his votes, and why he never wore a suit the first few years he was president (remember the old farmer's jacket?) In a 3rd world country with a terrible economy, the separation between the lower class and the rest is fairly high. In other words, they are quite stupid. He wins their hearts by bullshitting them about how they are better than the rest of the world.
