I would like this comment to be concise, economical, pithy, attacking, straightforward, simple, and direct. I don't want to get caught up in over-decorative language, flowery adjectives, or sweeping overstatements, but I want to be able to express my love to this song. Why set myself in this tricky brief? Because I would like to be able to write the way Chris Spedding plays guitar. But that's impossible to do, so I give up.

@w0mblemania by the way i think "BOYS AND GIRLS" is very good too..you're right "BETE NOIRE" isn't but there are a few good songs there.."NEW TOWN" AND "7 DEADLY SINS......the title track.."WHICH WAY TO TURN" AND "WILDCAT DAYS"..on "MAMOUNA" are very good also....for what it's worth..

@801liveable I have to disagree with His Holiness on this one. In Your Mind is one of Bryan's best efforts, and certainly far better than later works (particularly the lost years of Boys and Girls, Bete Noir, Mamouna).

This track is sublime.

BRYAN FERRY, said of all his solo efforts, "IN YOUR MIND was his least favorite" FERRY, said, "it just didn't feel right"..this was the first solo album since the break up of ROXY MUSIC, that all the songs were written by BRYAN FERRY..from it.."TOKYO JOE".."PARTY DOLL" "ROCK OF AGES" "THIS IS TOMORROW" "ALL NIGHT OPERATOR" and "LOVE ME MADLY" are all great songs..

@PeterVonRock Chris Spedding is Mahler on a flying V. The guitar break becomes an unearthly human voice of achingly beautiful composition and sonority. Dig the flat 5 B naturals in the guitar lead at the very end.

The man is genius and here is another of his poignant songs to prove it. It is amazing to think that this is only one of his 'minor' works. It is great.
