  • One of their best

  • I couldn't agree more. I think it's not so popular because of the really boring-sounding title puts people off.

  • @MrZombiemaggot The New America

  • i cant find this song anywhere what album is it on.

  • This is one of the Top 5 BR songs, if not the best one. If would have been great if it was better known

  • i guess i'm not that big of a fan to care who is writing which songs. i think graffin probably writes the most intelligent lyrics by far, and i've noticed a few of their songs have some seriously stupid lyrics which i doubt graffin wrote. let me quote: "porcelain and alabaster, our world is like plaster..." if that isn't retarded. and: "do you remember when we were young and adventure had no end those were the days my friend but i'm not talking about that at all" umm WTF?

  • @oregonflatland It has a lot to do with the fact Brett Gurewitz was not on these albums. While Greg Graffin's vocals and lyrics are incredible, it's the songs written by Brett that get most of the attention. I'm not sure why that is. I think it's because Brett can relate to people on a more personal level, while Graffin just states what he thinks using metphors out the wazoo. I love Graffin's songs though.

  • i saw them play in november. they played about 2 songs from every record except this one. not a single song off the new america. they did play the first track off no substance which really surprised me. i think new america is by far their worst record and the furthest departure from their signature sound. yet it has a few of their best songs like a streetkid named desire. no substance has a strange denial, voracious march of godliness and in so many ways all some of their best work.

  • Who's Will btw? I am assuming he was singing with them

  • I would like to know if its just me but does this video pause for a long while at 0:15 and then again at 0:25 for anyone else? or is it just me this video hates :( which suck cus i really love this song

  • @DanTheeMan I don't think that's it. This whole album "The New America" as well as No Substance, were incredibly underrated. I just think it was the fact the right critics haven't heard them. The No Substance album is one of my favorites, but alot of people, even BR fans, don't even know it exists. And it is very difficult to find in retail. You practically have to order it.

  • @DanTheeMan

never judge anything by a title or name..

sheesh even the name bad religion doesnt mean what the band meant it to originally.

things change .. ideas people.. constantly

this album is 3rd worst .. only 2 that are worse are ITU and NS.. at least baker likes some of these songs..

I personally love this song.. but its not my fav on the album, I sing it to my mom all the time (she is in that mindset)

this does not just apply to women .. btw.. ask graffin :P
