A NEW class of nuclear ballistic missile submarines is already under construction.

The Type 096 Tang-class SSBN is under construction and will enter service by 2010. It can carry 24 ballistic missiles (JL-2 or JL-3). That's twice the amount of missiles the Type 094 carries.

The JL-2 has a range of 12,000 km and can carry 4 warheads each.

This is a top secret project from China, in fact in this short video are probably all the pictures available of the Jin class ballistic missile submarine. It carries 12 JL-2 SLBM with a range of 8,000 km and 4 nuclear warheads.

This comment shows simplistic and stereotypical personal opinions of the West when they don't have the facts nor do they care about facts. If military technologies can be just "copied", we would be thousands of Humvee, tanks, planes and weapons duplicated by the terrorists and US enemies in the Middle East, Africa from captured and shot down weapons, wouldn't we?
