I suggest everyone to watch "Koroshiya 1 - The Animation Episode 0" instead. It's the animated version of the prequel how Ichi became Da Killer. It's so nicely done and explained. And yes blood gore.

er, watch ichi the killer first. i first saw this film a number of years ago after seeing miike's ichi the killer and rewatched it again tonight. while i feel that it's unfairly bashed, it's far from being a great movie.
