  • Wow that's amazing. I didn't know of the existence of this "John Peel Session". Was it a live radio broadcast or something? Or an alternate studio take?

  • I believe they recorded 3 live sessions for John Peel between 1979 and 1981, this taken from the last one.

I recorded this track the night it was broadcast.

  • That's great. I'm glad you did! Did you record any other songs from the session?

  • Pretty sure I didnt...for some reason!!!.

This one stuck out so much.

Have quite a few other recordings from various John Peel sessions from years gone by ..various groups.. will continue to put them up when I can.

  • does anyone know where i could find a studio version on youtube?

  • I was living in Barbados when this album True Democracy buss on the reggae scene. We had just lost Bob Marley, Black Uhuru was riding high on the UK charts and mashing up London town. The sound sys tems were in full swing and it was the end of the Brixton Riots. Then came Steel Pulse with a wicked wicked diary of urban life. I loved every single track on that album. Listening to this studio session seals it for me. God bless Steel Pulse, on of Britains Greats
