If this was recorded at an comp that was held at the LA Sports Arena and broadcast on "regular" tv, I remember watching it on tv. Thanks for keepin it real on the big stage!

This was a throwback memory for real, I went to Manual Arts, our band could never compete with Locke. I always loved to see them perform in the local parades around L.A.

This is real tight! I finally get to see it on video. Thank you for sharing.

Much respect to Locke. Sadly, it will never be the same.

The Locke Saints High School Band were great competitors in this era. I was in the Granada Hills HS band at the same time and we always looked forward to competing with Locke and El Camino. Locke always had the best drum majors, banner carriers, and every year, the best "poppers" and "robots" in the business. Just watch the banner move in perfect unison in these videos. Thanks for posting this up. This was the golden age of Los Angeles High School Bands.

This was Locke at our best. I was there from '76 to '79. If anyone has any other footage from the mid to late 70's please post. The "Original" drumline. "Be at the right place at the right time with the right equipment, and then you'll see why it's "So Hard" to be a Locke Saint.." R. Perry

The current Locke Saints band is selling some of these classic uniforms in an effort to raise funds for the upcoming season. If anyone is interested please contact Mr. Reggie Smith in the Music room
