yes it does hurt my first and only tattoo is on my foot and it hurt ALOT!!!!! more afterwards because it swollen up alot but im gonna get another one at some point :) x

It shouldn't hurt too bad until you start getting tattooed right next to or on top of your ankle. I know a lot of people cry and scream but it wasn't that bad. Just make sure you breathe & grit your teeth a little. You'll be alright. =)

Honestly, mine hurt pretty bad. It wasn't my first tattoo so I was semi-prepared. Mine starts above my ankle and wraps around the bone to the top of my foot. It hurt super bad when the needle was right by the bone or at the bottom of your ankle, theres a little tender dip which hurt. I never cried or screamed so don't be freaked out by youtube videos showing that. I would definitely only recommend foot tattoos if you are POSITIVE you want it there. Good luck!
