Part 2 - Professor Bob Carter examines more of the data concerning climate change and Global warming. Inconvenient Truth author Al Gore would find his presentation contradicted by this presentation? Will kyoto`s greenhouse reduction goals be in vain?

"(1) True and over riding fact. This alone kills AGW."

No, it does not. Your argument is illogical; a fallacy; a non-sequitur. The Earth has been warmer than now at different times but that does NOT mean that AGW is false, or that the threat is less worrisome (there are 7 Billion people here now).

"(2) Undisputed fact by the pro-AGW folks at UEA. The trail is around 800 years."

I will write this only once: historically CO2 followed temperature BUT THIS IS NO LONGER THE CASE.

  • @Robbob9933 Absolute rubbish. The Earth has been cooling for half a billion years but this has absolutely no relevance whatsoever to our current predicament. We could of course cool the planet without reducing CO2 emissions but it would involve introducing a lot of aerosol pollution into the stratosphere. That would be expensive and dangerous (and of course air quality would decline dramatically). Better to deal with our energy problem now, since we are going to have to anyway and soon.

  • @Robbob9933 ...and btw, did you notice the BEST temperature record confirms all the others? Search Bad, Badder, BEST on youtube. Here's the info: "Richard Muller seemed like the last best hope of the anti-science movement. This month he published his global temperature results, and the climate denialists are up in arms. What went wrong?"

...but I suspect you just do not want to know.

  • @Robbob9933 More rubbish. Go watch Dr. Richard B. Alley's talk at AGU 2009 Fall meeting (google: A23A) -- people, check it out, please.

  • @xchopp (1) True and over riding fact. This alone kills AGW.

    (2) Undisputed fact by the pro-AGW folks at UEA. The trail is around 800 years.

I have read the stollen then leaked e-mails and all through them was the concern that the data DID NOT agree with the AGW theory but in fact disproved it.

The goal to cut CO2 level to half of current will kill or severly stunt all plant life and reduce O2 levels accordingly.

  • @Robbob9933 Rubbish.

  • @xchopp I am a statistician by education and trainging and Operations Researcher by avocation. I do not place my reputation on desired results but rather accurate results. I used to be a proponent until I researched the data. Did you know that NASA goofed in their Y2K testing in that era? They improperly restored a dataset resulting in temps post 1/1/2000 to be artifically elevated. Even after correction, UEA kept using the bad data for many years. Garbage in = Garbage out.

  • @xchopp Today the Met Office and the University of East Anglea finally admitted that global warming (it it had been occurring at all) ended in 1997. Temperatures fell instead of rising as the computer models said they would. Both the Met Office and UEA are both now predicting a decrease in temps at least as deep and likely deeper than the Dalton Minimum of 1790 - 1830. The Dalton Minimum was a sunspot period, as was the Maunder Minimum.
