Jim Kinnett's Volare and Larry Peternel's
'83 Chrysler Imperial had to be the two ugliest Pro Stock cars ever! They were fun to watch though.

No- not him, but I do remember reading about Dr.Rose in National Dragster. Wasn't he a dentist that had a mid 60's Corvette too ?
My last name is Rose too, but I'm from WV.

Would you be refering to Dr. Larry Rose as RacerRose. If so I remember him from when I use to race there. At that time he raced a yellow Buick. I moved out of state before the new Baytown track was completed and this one closed. Lot of good memories in the 20 years I raced here.

I'm guessing 1977 or 78 judging by Tom Hoover's car, Muldowney's car & the Brissette & Drake car.

I'd love to see a classic Modified eliminator class created for nostalgia racing under the original format. It's no wonder why my Dad loved the class, and the local tracks in the 70's had a huge following.

Gotta love Jim Kinnett's Hemi Powered Plymouth Volare Pro Stocker ! The days of small cube SBC's mated to a Nash 5 speed are days well missed.

wow.. what year was this?
those modified Vettes were screaming!!
there is nothing better than a small block 5 speed with a heavy flywheel. That is real racing, if it doesnt have three pedals it is not a real racecar
