It shows the progress of the player, and all the crazy shit he has to remember to avoid!
And there's always unexpected happening! If it was edited to constantly show progress, you wouldn't get the feeling of difficulty or randomness, it might aswell be a trailer for the game or a school project video someone put together.
I prefer watching someone playing it, just like it's meant to be played.

The music is from an awful game called "Action 52". As soon as I heard the first bleeps I muted, wrote this comment and left. I suggest you do the same.

This was so painful to watch. Not the gameplay, but the horrible video editing. Should have edited the video to consistently start at the point of failure, not just randomly show deaths or start from the last save point.
