Make sure you practice with something that keeps time. Your notes are right, but a bassist has to keep a solid sense of timing and thats much more important.

@Nils3OWN What a stupid way to limit yourself. You should learn how to play both with a pick and with your fingers. They both have distinctly different sounds and applications that will only make you a better bass player.

So by your logic, Justin Chancellor is a noob??

@brkthedwn27 You should be able to play both with your fingers and a pick. The CKY's bassist uses a pick, so if you want it to sound right you should learn it that way too. Pick and fingers have two very distinct sounds on bass.
