(c)1987 Sid and Marty Krofft Pictures

Part 2 picks up with ads for Comtrex, Arm and Hammer (Carpet Fresh and baking soda), another "The Entertainers" spot, Sucrets, Aqua-Fresh (the last two by Beecham), S&K Menswear sale (the OTHER Richmond-based chain to bite the dust in 2009; overshadowed by the demise of Circuit City) and a Pearl S. Buck Foundation PSA featuring Jean Stapleton (so THAT'S what Edith Bunker really sounds like)

SEGMENTS:
1. Bob Hope visits, first chatting with Sean Penn, then interrupts the attempts of Gerald Ford to defuse said bomb
2. Gorbachev (during his visit to St. Nick) wants to stay in the States; Big Bird slippers, ALF pajamas, the latest Springsteen release ("Tunnel of Love"); and for Raisa the latest Whitney Houston album ("Whitney") and "underwear like Madonna"
3. Special Christmas song ("Christmas Day"?) featuring the vocal stylings of Barbra Streisand, Sylvester Stallone (who hopefully is at least slightly better than this version), Madonna (sounds like she has a cold), Ted Kennedy, Cher, Dr. Ruth(?; not sure), Jesse Jackson and John Madden
4. Countdown with Ford using hair dryer to shut the bomb down (with a shot of Jim and Tammy Faye Bakker -- it's pretty obvious that inclusion alone would make this episode scream 1987; Sly trying to play the hero; George Bush whining about being unable to lose his "wimp" stigma, Jack Nicholson {who wants to be left alone}, our Teamster friend, Sam Donaldson {much like Bob Hope earlier in this part} picking the worst possible time to appear before Oliver North had to drag him out)...and to everyone's surprise, it worked!!!
5. Ed Meese wants fewer chins
6. Meese then gets poked at in the desert during discussion of the "chubby guy with the red nose"

Next break is Jovan (same as one appearing in previous episode), Hershey's (One of the All-Time Greats; had this commercial in previous channels and will upload here in the near future), another WAVY "For Kids Sake" spot (tape quality dips briefly), a promo for a special Christmas concert featuring legendary entertainer Andy Williams at Chrysler Hall in Norfolk and a repeat S&K ad.
