Dinesh D'Souza and Christopher Hitchens go at it again at the 2008 Freedom Fest as the "Main Event".

FreedomFest is an annual festival where "free minds meet" to celebrate "great books, great ideas, and great thinkers" in an open-minded society. It is independent, non-partisan, and not affiliated with any organization or think tank.

Founded and produced by Mark Skousen, since 2002, FreedomFest invites the "best and the brightest" from around the world to talk, strategize, socialize, and celebrate liberty. FreedomFest is open to all and is purely egalitarian, where speakers, attendees, and exhibitors are treated as equals.

Christopher Hitchens (born 1949) is an author, journalist and literary critic. Currently living in Washington, D.C., he has been a columnist at Vanity Fair, The Atlantic, World Affairs, The Nation, Slate, Free Inquiry, and a variety of other media outlets. Hitchens is also a political observer, whose books — the latest being "God Is Not Great: How Religion Poisons Everything" — have made him a staple of talk shows and lecture circuits.

In 2009 Hitchens was listed by Forbes magazine as one of the "25 most influential liberals in U.S. media." The same article noted, though, that he would "likely be aghast to find himself on this list" and that he "styles himself a radical", not a liberal.

Hitchens is taking singular events from the bible and placing them out of context. He is a liar. He does not understand the bible holistically. For example he quotes Jesus as saying 'give up everything-ie no thought of the morrow' . Firstly this was not a 'central doctrine' that is an absolute falsehood. 'No investment' why does the bible say 'cast your bread across the water' meaning literally make diverse investments in order to prosper. Jesus said money is worthless: it is. Hitchens=scoffer

I reiterate, "you are not". How do you define "definitive proof". I would wager that your criteria (if you have any) when applied to a historical figure such as Alexander the Great or Socrates differs from the criteria you apply to Jesus Christ.

Are you still raving on with the 360 day year. I proved you wrong and you still think you're correct. The 360 day year is only mentioned in the bible; that text book was written by ancient primitive old men. "Who gave you permission to subtract! March 14th 445BC" Who gave you permission to use a silly comic to mislead history? And what has ticklemypickles' denomination got to do with proving you wrong; which he did so easily.

If I where rich, and you were my friend, how would I know you were not my friend simply because of my riches.

I have always been willing to see the evidence that the biblical Jesus exists, and even the existence of your god, but alas, no evidence had ever been forthcoming from theists that was definitive. You said "I can show you many "shreds."" Then produce them, or even one; remember, nonsense from apologists, theologians, other theists, religious books, including from one of the most evil books on the planet - the bible, is not evidence; so show this definitive proof.
