Qualitative analysis is used to detect cations and anions.
Group I of cations: Ag+, (Hg+)2, Pb2+
I group cations form white precipitates of various features with HCl.

You can get white precipitate of AgCl back out of diamminesilver chloride solution [Ag(NH3)2]Cl adding e.g. nitric acid solution HNO3.
