Added a spoiler to the Electric Bug to reduce the drag coefficient. Added a couple of miles to the range.

  • Thats great! You have a real hh. All I had was a picture so I just calculated what I thought the dimensions should be. I believe it has helped increase my mileage by a couple of miles per charge. If you could send me the specs from yours I could trim mine to be a true hh. Thanks for the comment.

  • looking at your Herod helper knockoff its much larger than a real hh and the angle that you have it mounted is different. i wonder how much that angle and size has made a difference. in the 80s we had problems with them causing the air cooling affect of the louvers. it caused a scavenging affect for the engine. with an electric car you wont have that problem. i have a herrod helper on the shelf i will have to test the affect on my performance as i complete my electric conversion.

  • I believe the Opel will make a great EV. I would like to have one to convert. Good Luck!!!

  • awesome bug! I have intentions of converting my '70 opel gt to ev... your build is inspiring!

  • Thanks!

  • Coolness!
