India has reacted strongly to a statement by the Chinese Foreign Ministry over the visit of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to Arunachal Pradesh for campaigning. As 70 percent of Arunachal turned out to vote today, New Delhi was sharp in its criticism of Beijing.

Arunachal was never a part of China, how they can claim it as their territory is beyond my understanding. China poses an increasingly greater threat to the peace of the region (keeping in mind their geo-political aspirations). But, keeping in mind the growing inequality and lack of political reforms (inspite of all the economic progress it has made in the last 2 decades) in China, it is apparent that unprecedented social unrest is at hand.
