constructively, listen to the original and play with that, your timing is off and some other stuff. Are you self-interpritating it, because that is another thing issue then:D, but keep playing! :)

Nicely controlled vibrato... I'd recommend moving a bit away from the mic and letting the sound bounce off of a wall, turning the gain up a little to pick it up.

@Vonvilkia I don't think sheet music is necessary. Song isn't very long and you should be able to transcribe it by ear since it is played slowly. If that doesn't help, look up the sheet music for either Goodnight Julia or Space Lion. There is an official score that was released if you want to go that route. It has all instruments for the arrangements (I own this by the way). Search 'cowboy bebop sheet music' on Amazon, you'll find it
