My first hammered dulcimer piece, recorded 30 days after I started playing. I learned this piece for my dad as he loved it. Thankfully he had a chance to watch before dying yesterday. Thanks dad for the love of music.
'Sorry to hear about your dad, but what a nice tribute. 'Nice playing. And in such a short time. Impressive! I'm a classically trained musician who has become partially paralyzed (affecting the dexterity of my fingers) and who's looking for a new instrument to play capable of every key and all sharps and flats. Is that a traditionally tuned dulcimer or is that - what I suspect - a "piano dulcimer." Who is the maker? Thanks! :-)
Liz - Just beautiful!! I was moved by it....Trisha was speechless but then, she utters..."Why don't you start dusting off your wall hung dulcimers & start playing them for ME like that" :( Lukey
Wow, Liz! That was so amazing, and to think that you had been playing for only a "month"! What a loving gift and tribute to your dad...one from the heart! I'm sure he was touched by it! Thanks for sharing that special moment with us!
You are doing great on the dulcimer, especially after only playing for a month. Very nice. I'm sure your Dad was very moved by what you have done with this piece. Thanks for sharing. Cheryl =)
