  • If by that you mean that it doesn't sound like PCM synth, then I guess you're right. However, keep in mind that the Sega Master System was 8-bit, and it was capable of FM Synth, which is the same as that used on the Genesis (and fairly close to how GXSCC sounds), yet the Master System's still 8-bit. Even to give an example from Nintendo, Super Mario 3 uses a custom sound chip, also capable of using FM Synth. Does that mean it's not 8-bit? What the hell IS a bit, anyway?

  • @akumacornflakes Damn. You haven't commented on any of my videos in a long time. And you got a point.

but people use GXSCC and say it's 8-bit, by that they mean NES related.

Maybe a bit is a small square or something.

  • I'll see if i can throw together an overdrive ostrich "8-bit" remix for you, as that was also one of my favorite songs in Megaman X2. p.s. you have to sync the audio with the video a little better.

  • @pacloser97 Yeah, It's off sync but not that big of a deal. Also thank you very much by doing a overdrive ostrich remix

  • GXSCC is actually 8-bit, but not NES (As most of us mean by 8-bit). I am also tired of people falsely claiming GXSCC as NES 8-bit. The NES has 5 channels; 2 square, 1 triangle, 1 noise and 1 DPCM. GXSCC has 32 channels that can all be mixed and matched as triangle, square and sine waves. It's a shame that this program take credit away from us who actually make real NES/Famicom 8-bit remixes. FamiTracker produces TRUE NES/Famicom 8-bit, and I love that program!

  • Thank you, GXSCC is retarded. I planned to make a rant about this. GXSCC is based on MSX, which is SORT OF 8-bit, but it's a little more towards the 16-bit side.

  • FINALLY I FIND ANOTHER RANT! HIGH FIVE!
