Ever since my friend Paul Moore of Pmooreknives.webs.com turned me on to this method, I've not tied my shoes the "old" way again!

Paracordist's how to tie kid's shoe laces and paracord laces so they don't come undone until you want them too. Not a double knot!
This knot is different than the knots shown in these videos:

Looks like a variation on the Turquoise Turtle knot. Check that one out. There's only one difference, and the Turquoise Turtle knot looks better.

I always thought this was a basic skill we all learned in kindergarten, but I was wrong! Here I am, middle aged, and I just learned how to tie my shoes! I feel like a putz, but FINALLY, no more inopportune untied laces! No more fussing with "double knotting" and no more thinking I know everything either! What else do I think I know, that I really don't? I better look up more videos like how to properly use the bathroom, and other "basic" skills! Thanks!
