This is the first of a series of videos. Three noble men embark on an epic journey to find the biggest pond monsters in Southern Ohio. Please keep in mind that the video was made in all of about 10 minutes, including uploading the videos to the computer, this is a very very rough draft. Videos in the future will showcase more editing, better music, and bigger fish! Dude 1: Bill (holding the turtle) Dude 2: Nate (workin the stick, he's great at it) and Dude 3: Tom (Camera Man)

The first turtle topped the scale at 15 pounds, there was a hole in the shell so we just hooked the scale in the hole, and made out with an easy weigh. This was caught on cut bait by Dude 1, aka Bill.

The second turtle was guessed to have weighed 20 pounds or so, the line from which we caught the turtle was tied to the end of the scale and ended up snapping after getting the front half of the turtle off the ground, the scale read 12 pounds when it snapped. This was caught also on cut bait by Dude 3, Me.

NO TURTLES WERE HARMED IN THE MAKING OF THIS VIDEO.

  • why this music?! how does it fit anything going on in the video!?!!?!!

  • I know it doesn't fit the video, we had a song playing in the background and us talking over it but there was copyright issues so we had to use a youtube track.

  • Nice snappers guys :D I've caught a few in my day about that size but usually the ones I get are around 10 pounds or so.

  • We caught the biggest one of the year today, we were on our way back from eating lunch and decided to head out there on a whim and forgot to grab the camera so we lost the biggest turtle yet. Got a few pics on the cell phone though, gonna try to add em in the new video, which is still in the works. Thanks for the response

  • No turtles were harmed? Weren't they caught on hooks, and then you just cut the line? Plus, if you hold them by the tail like that, it can break the vertebrae and cause ascending necrosis - a painful and very slow death. I'm a chick, and I handle 15 lb snappers regularly by their shells, I only use the base of the tail to stabalize the turtle at first, I never pick it up by the tail. If I can do it, you can too.

  • I just got two yesterday lil bigger then that. They make five for this year so far. Makin some soup. Ya aouta do the same

  • not a bad video. dont care for the music tho.
