Well, depending of wich character you got, they have a different timing for whem you have to press the accelerate button. Like Eggman and Big the Cat is just before the 3 disapear. Same thing for Zobio & Zobiko. But for the other characters, yeah, it's when it say 2.

@TheJack768 well to start off all you do is right trigger but to do a boost durring the race you need to drift for long ammounts of time
