Amazing! So I finally hear his own concerto transcription. Its quite a coincidence that I posted a Cassado today... :)

I think Cassado's name is talked and played "cello suite"(of course this work is masterpiece・・・).

His wonderful recording(Dvorak's concerto,Schumann,Lalo, ・・・) are forgat・・・,i'm disappointed.

Thought I knew almost every Mengelberg recording but this is new to me. Just discovered Cassadó today. I was impressed enough to upload the 7 works of his I found (recorded in 1927). He immediately became one of my favorite cellists. Thanks for uploading.

@cellofacir you are doubting the transcribtion and cadenza skills of the master gaspar Cassado...no im just joking but his interpretation oddly sounds to be more of schuberts time period then the actual original

The transcription is terrible in some playces compared to the original.Nowadays when everything should be played from original scores one finds a bit strange to listen to this.I find though better now when listening to it for the second time,and playng is superb

Hehe, personally I don't have a lot of Cassado - ok, only one recording. I wish i could hear his concerto recordings.
