Nice physics lesson but you have it partially wrong. Drag cars are RWD because of weight transfer, not only rendering a front wheel drive system useless but AWD adds too many parts, thus adding weight.

Also, the Ram doesn't have more traction. The only drive wheels on the Ram are towards the rear, which are under an empty bed. The drive wheels on the Avalanche are under the entire vehicle, which is engaged in 4WD. 4WD or AWD is FAR more superior in traction then RWD alone.

Nah, for durability and power the Cummins motor is a great design. This pull doesn't prove shit, no pull proves anything legitimate, just who has more traction and who didn't slip. The Dodge may weigh more but the drive wheels are under an empty bed, how much traction do you expect the Dodge to have? It's like a fat girl giving head with a small mouth, she may have mass but not enough goods where it counts most.

@phattacorider for what cummins owners talk their truck up to be, that dodge should have been able to pull the avalanche in nuetral. I know the avalanche had an advantage but the cummins also weighs waaaaay more than the avalanche. This video just goes to show how overrated dodge/cummins is.

ok chevy and dodge are both great trucks. I myself am a chevy man and will never own a vehicle that is not made by GM. My friend who is a dodge fan even says a chevy will always beat a dodge in a pull because they do have more power and more ability. but when it comes to diesel the cummins is great but I prefer a duramax. both have great power the cummins will just break less and duramax is stronger. Now lets just be happy this is two TRUCKS and no fords.
