Calling the cops was your first mistake. Expecting them to care was your second. The cops protect and serve the state, not the people. Cops are bully, thugs with badges. You have no rights. They will bust you for whatever they can find on you or provoke you to do. And with ten's of thousands of laws they will always be able to get you for something. We are all criminals in the eyes of the cops and they are trained to threat us as their enemy. Never call the cops and never talk to the cops.
