@AnthonyKiedisAK The finger positioning may be different but it's still a D chord. Which fingers to use depends on how comfortable you are using them. Remember! It's not just how easy it is to play the chord alone but also how easy it is to shift to another from that positioning.

hey great video! Has been a big help for me. But i have a question. Look i have this chord book and it shows D chord different than yours. Is my book wrong or did you just show that version of D for a purpose?
