Here is a short clip from a seminar on the Kettlebell Long Cycle that Mikhail Marshak and I gave in Michigan in March of 2011, right after the IKFF Invitational KB Meet. I am explaining how you want to dump the KB from the rack position by letting the bell twist around the outside of your wrist, and NOT by dumping it over the top. I also go on to explain how you determine how far you swing the KB back behind you. The key is identifying when your low-back is neutral, not rounded.
