  • on the dvd decyripte,r you chose file f, on other tutorials ive seen, its says choose ifo i. When you do your option, does it affect the dvd anyway? Will the dvd still work?

  • @moonoftheeternal It still works for me... I have a newer video to show how to convert dvd to avi or whatever and it is much easier than this...DVD decrypter is getting out of date..

  • to convert avi to dvd go to my website and search for it...In the software tips section there are articles on this.

  • Hey Mitz! What do you use to capture screenshots & screenvids while you're conducting these amazing tutorials? Thx yah.

  • The free program, camstudio

  • First of all, kudos on your super website! I like it! I have a q abt DVDx.

My output AVI video picture screen is pulled up and down. So the vid pic is distorted. How do I make it in normal screen size? Thx Mitz.

  • Thanks so much...

Maybe you can try changing the output to pal or ntsc depending on where you are (on the input settings page).. also 4:3 ratio Is good for normal screens like tv's..this is on the output settings page..

  • Why is it that when I click on Output Settings, DVDx crashes??? :(

  • @moonoftheeternal Anyone have an idea what best output res settings to use on dvdx???

  • Thanks so much... I'm really thick at this sort of stuff... even I managed to do it!! Hooray!!! xxx

  • DVD Decryptor and DVDx are not really out of date, I mean they are completely free and get the job done like a piece of cake! DVDx takes a while to rip depending on your settings, but that's because it is ripping and encoding to AVI. It's doing both tasks at once, so it takes a while, but the quality is worth it. I still use these programs and have never switched to anything else. One other I use is DVD Shrink to re-author ripped DVDs.

  • @Computerbasics oh ok ill take a look, thanks, most people don't respond! X

  • I want to convert a DVD to an AVI; however, I only want a 5 minute segment out of a 40 minute short film that I directed. Will DVDx allow me to do this during the encoding process? Is there a link on you website that will answer this question? Thanks.

  • thx it worked i wanted to use the program for my psp now i can convert the file and also watch it on my psp

  • it works but with the dvdx thing you have to wait an hour or so for it to convert
