Cheat Neutral Dir: Beth Stratford / Wales / 2007 From the high street to the Houses of Parliament, cheatneutral.com sparks an important debate about the inadequacies of carbon offsetting.
the two gents seemed rather innocuous to me, but i'd certainly rather be stopped in the street by them than any politician. the joke at the end completely spoils the otherwise though-provoking nature of this piece, though.
I see the point. However, you can quantify carbon emission and carbon conservation. You can not quantify emotional pain, its a qualitative, irreparable, non substitutable type of thing.
If you monetarily support the planting of a tree which consumes 'x' number of tons of carbon dioxide that otherwise would not have been planted, in my mind, it justifies the 'x' amount of carbon that you emitted.
This video is good, and the idea is good, however, it is misleading.

I really like the structure for this documentary, and how it slowly unwinds the true meaning of the whole 'Cheat Neutral' concept. Really nice work.
