would you reccomend the amp for someone who lives with neighbors but still wants to jam with friends?

Sure. The amp isnt too powerful, so you can turn the volume down enough to hear it and still not have it blast the roof off. But it is powerful enough for those times when you want to crank it up and do some all-out jammin'.
