A have Ruben Domiguez in a 1976 Tosca from Caracas with Ghena Dimitrova and again Louis Quilico and, from the same year, an Aida from Chile with Gilda Cruz-Romo. The voice is superb reminding the stamina and power of Del Monaco.

This is so far my favorite coupling of this scene(I would like to see the two of them in the entire opera together). Their voices compliment one another so well, and they sing with so much beauty, musicality and feeling.

I've watched this video so many times. Such excitement and beauty in their voices. So hard to see this quality and caliber of artists in the theaters these days.

It just goes to show you that if you really want to see and hear what is really, really good you have to search. This soprano is amazing. I'm sure she also sang Aida, etc. Dominguez is such an amazing talent and voice. I can't get over it.

Maria Slatinaru is a well known Rumanian soprano who made her Metropolitan Opera debut in Tosca with another great tenor, Franco Bonisoli, in 1987.
