This video is an answer to a question from one of my subscribers: How do you develop striking speed?

While I certainly don't have agility like Bruce Lee, these are some concepts, techniques and training drills that have helped me not only to become faster, but to understand the vital importance of set-ups in any combat sport- MMA, Kickboxing, Muay Thai, Wrestling, Jujitsu, Submission grappling, Judo, Taekwondo, Karate, etc... the principle is the same.

  • That's funny. My niece uses a similar distraction technique when we spar, she'll start shouting random words, it's hilarious.

  • i learned that from hmmc in honolulu, its a kickboxing academy, but i didnt say all the numbers, 7 is lead leg push kick, 8 is back push kick, 9 it lead leg switch roundhouse, 10 is back round house, 11 is lead leg knee, 12 is back knee

  • Sounds like we use different terminology for pad-work.

  • Good, solid advice. Thus far, from what I've seen, all of your technical information is spot on and based on good verifiable scientific fact.

You obviously know your stuff. There's alot of crap out there, and its nice to see someone keeping it real. Thanks for your uploads.
