  • this is so wrong. so much for almost everyone here being an atheist, yet they worship this guy.

  • @RSAgility Not all atheists, but most. I agree re. idols though. Sceptics are as vulnerable to hero worship as anyone else. Randi has extensive knowledge, experience and insight into many of the areas sceptical people often consider but everyone should make up their own minds as impartially and objectively as possible, a point which Randi recognises too.

  • James Randii is a god among men.

  • @TheDeistAngle Except Randi exists.

  • @RSAgility But Randi is real :D Look...There he is

  • @RSAgility

We don't bow to him. If Randi asked us to eradicate a tribe of woo woos (he wouldn't do such a thing, but hypothetically speaking) and steal their virgins- we would not do it. We don't sacrifice animals or virgins nor do we keep beards to be in his likeness. We respect him as someone who has devoted his entire life to expose charlatans, to educate people so they are not easily fooled by charlatans. I'm grateful to him- but I don't worship him :)

  • @RSAgility Respect is not worship.

  • @RSAgility People do ADMIRE his life's work...but there is NO worshiping here. There IS diference. Your statement does not make sence at all.

  • If atheists had saints , Randi would be our patron saint !!!

  • @TheSkepticMag

    You sir, are correct.

Randi is a Hero among men.
