  • I have upload filezilla on my system, but i don't have a host name.... how i get one and how do i connect my dreamweaver with my filezilla folder.

    HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @etagweyo You should get a hostname after signing up to a hosting website. They provide you with one. Usually you end up getting one once you sign up for a domain name. If you still can't find it when logged in to your hosting account then I recommend phoning up support. Also I am not very familiar with Dreamweaver so I recommend Googling however I believe if you have all your webpages all you need to do is drag them into the browser in Filezilla.

  • thanks so much. I have a domain name and I am using 000webhosting, but each time i tried to publish on the web, it refuse to work. any suggestions!

  • @etagweyo What do you mean refused to work?

  • can i put my ipv6 (from the internet) adress so i want to go onto my ftp server at school

  • @etagweyo Start > Run (if on XP or 2000) or Start and search CMD.exe and type in "ipconfig"

the one ending with a number like 1-20 will be ur IP address.

Also, you can only connect to your FTP "server" if you connected to the same router.

  • how i do find my ftp host address.....help

  • thanks.

  • @ghostmarine1000 you need these settings for it to work. Once you have the settings you should have them forever so there is no worries.

  • @ghostmarine1000 Because why can't there be a text box to put in your ip , and port and then a button to run , why so many damb buttons and settings , surely there is something out there that doesn't need all these details when you want some one from the outside world to access your pc.
