Yup, I've been keeping my eyes on this for a while and I had to get it! Watch the video to find out what I got! or you could just look at the tags, lol.

Oh, and BTW, yes this is my first box opening videos, and I am aware that you can barely see the table. I'll have better videos next time!

  • American TG-16 user here. Our consoles required an extra accessory called a "Turbo Booster" for a/v composite output. It was a large piece that connected on the back of the console. How/where do you connect your a/v cables?

  • @Caztro72 Yeah I looked this up before you asked the Question, the really interesting thing is that the US TG16 and the Japanese PCE had RF output only without the use of the Turbo/AV Booster, however the UK (PAL) TG is only in AV. There's a 5 pin DIN on the side of the console where the RF out would be on the US TG16 and Japanese PCE. It is supplied with a separate RF Modulator if you need it, but since I've used AV I've never looked back.

  • @ianwagj That's a nice price for a shrink wrapped game! If you ever buy the CD add-on games are region free, hell they're copy free too, you can just burn ROMS off the web to CD and they'll work.

You should get JJ and Jeff, that's not too bad and really cheap, but you got to get the Bonk games, they're the Mario/Sonic of Turbografx. (though Bonk III is pretty pricey)

  • @ianwagj Yeah, some guy had a box full of them, where I got mine for £15. but that was total luck, I've also bought a brand new Hyper Neo Geo 64 for £20 from a bulk seller on eBay last year.

£45 is still a great price though, I've seen UK models go for £75 used before, but those sellers know what they have.

  • @LarryBundyJr thing is, I think the guy who sold it to me knew what he was selling. But for £45 brand new, I mean it's not cheap-cheap, heck you got yours for £15, but mine was brand new, or was yours brand new too? Still I've seen some crazy American ebay auctions where the dollars keep going up and up even when it's a used machine.

  • @LarryBundyJr PacLand was £12 and Galaga '90 was £7, I'll be getting a complete copy of Dragon Spirit for £12.

  • Did you get Pac Land for free, or did you buy it separately?

  • @ianwagj I believe it's because most of these sellers don't realise what they have. they either think it's a bog standard Turbografx or some obscure console noone cares about.

    I paid £15 for mine!

  • @LarryBundyJr Then... How come I got it so cheap? Or is it that obscure to the British then? lol.

  • I've got two of them, they're uber rare PAL machines.

Apparently there's less than 5000 in existence.
