Here is a small guide on how to make time-lapse effect in Adobe After Effects.
Quite simple actually.
1 ) import the long, recorded clip
2) make a new composition with the same specifications as your imported clip (Width, Height, FPS,pixel AR)
3 ) Add the imported clip to the newly created composition.
4 ) Time-Stretch Your recording to as little as possible, or to a length of your desire.
5 ) Adjust the total length of the composition to the same value as the down-stretched clip.
6 ) To shorten it further you need to do the same thing again.
- Create a new composition.
- Add the old composition containing the clip to the newly created one.
- Time-stretch the first composition to your desired length.
- Adjust the newly created composition accordingly.
7 ) Add composition to Render Queue and set desired format / location.
8 ) Hit Render - Wait - and You're done!
you know to make a new comp. it is easy to drag your footage to the bottom box and it automaticly makes a comp.
