Sander van Doorn? 2010? If I'm not the only one surprised, say so, because this sounds like an incredible reversion to the more nostalgic early to mid-2000s atmospheric trance sound. I must say that I'm very pleased with this direction towards a more traditional progressive trance approach. Bravo!

UPDATE (7/19/2010):

According to Sander van Doorn himself, this was an older track from 2004 that has only now seen the light of day.

twitter.com/sandervandoorn:
"Hi guys, somebody uploaded a 6 year old Sandler track we used for promotion as "Svd- Season". Obviously that is not the new svd :)"

Enjoy the track anyway, so long as Sander doesn't have a problem with me keeping it up!

You can buy Season at the link below...

  • @Crockett395 Oh well. I still think it's a nice track though. Thanks for the clarification!

  • This is FAKE! this track isnt produced by Sander Van Doorn.

  • @musiquerusse No it's not. Trackitdown's catalog clearly lists this as a track by Sander van Doorn released July 15th, and it's currently available for purchase. Can you demonstrate otherwise?

  • i agree with u in 100%, but when i saw 'svd - season' @ subscriptions, in first second i thought - oh damn, another poptrance .... and what a suprise! this should be relased under Purple Haze alias, really good stuff. and yes, still missing such great relases from mid 2000 !!! good job sander, bring us old trance back!

    ..

    and thanks for upload too!

  • @DiLamee Hehe, I wouldn't do that to you. Pop trance is dead to me. =D

  • I LOVE this track and I wish he would have continued with this style

  • @echoplexb Now, all those have their own great tracks. Matt Zo - The price of oil, Gareth Emery has many decent tracks, Cosmic Gate has a few good ones too like london rain , Armin has great taste but lacks the skills. Yes generally the Tech House Type Trance is crap, but only because the producers know they need to push their sound or they won't get any income. But Tech-Trance is an amazing, complicated genre.

Anyways you can find good new tracks. It takes me 1-2 hours to find one good track.

  • @RoverTheOctopus I can prove it is sanders. I have a good ear and the percussive hats are exactly as sander always does them. The mastering is very similar and the general harmony of the song sander like.

This must be before he went into tech-land for about 4 years and then went nuts and went pretty much mainstream. But I forgive you sander, your tracks before 2 years ago = Damn amazing.

And this track is one of my favourite trance tracks.

  • Sander Van Doorn, One of the BEST FOR SURE :)

    Boom da da Boom Dee.

  • Season' by Sander's guise Sandler is an unreleased track, that was almost lost forever, however Sander recovered it from his hard drive this year

From the mouth of Spinnin Records . Aint no fake just some Sander van Earporn

  • Very nice song!

    Beasty!

    NICE!~

  • I got this a couple of months back... been trancing since 1998... i agree with the poster... its was great to hear such a sound coming back... only to find out it was indeed an early track that was never released until now.

    Spectacular track...

Im not a fan of all this tech house type trance sound now... Matt Zo, Gareth Emery, Cosmic Gate, Armin have scuppered the vibe in trance and clubbing.

I think sad to say those days are well a truly lost.

    S1 1DJ :)
