SGNL by Sony had a unique opportunity to demo the new Sony a77 DSLR camera and kit lens. With Kenta, a member of our camera product team, on hand to answer our pressing questions, we had a chance to learn about the latest inside the a77 and also understand the future of previous digital cameras like the a700.

And if we didn't get to all the questions you might have, we're collecting questions from now until September 9th , and will ask the product team to answer as many as they can for folks. @giorgos1503197 The A77Vk is more expensive, because it comes bundled with the 16-80mm lens, instead of the 18-55mm lens. The 16-80mm lens is more expensive than the 18-55mm lens.

Sony A77 has a great future for videographers!

But it must do more functional for the video! I shoot video for A77 a week.

And he was very surprised! This is really interesting camera!

But we must make the best firmware!

@ToaaES i have the 60d, if ur taking photos, hell ya u should! but if it is for movies, dont bother! the 60d has more filming options, better picture styles etc

Because there is a translucent mirror that splits the light stream, you are actually having less light hit the sensor that with a traditional moving mirror SLR. In other words that, 50mm f1.7 is now more like a 50mm f2.8 :/ that really sucks! Oh and another thing, what about when you change lenses and and the mirror gets dirty? are you going to have to clean it all the time so that the dust doesn't affect image quality? Minoltas lens mount on these junk cameras is just painful to see.
