Meaning of Colors
Color and how it applies to your business can be a meaningful process when we realize that color can affect the buying mood of your customer or give the wrong impression of your company. Colors have many associated meanings that can convey emotions. This is non-verbal communication and is often only registered in our subconscious. Colors can also have conflicting symbolism, a positive and negative association. A comparison of cultures, genders and even age shows that colors mean different things to different people. Even different shades of the same color changes their symbolic meaning. While some shades of green for example, symbolize growth and harmony, other shades such as a yellowish-green are seen as cowardly or sickly. Know your target audience and incorporate this into your color choice.
