A variety of vintage "Thingie" slot cars travel down the drag strip, at the 1st Annual Thingie Fest, held at Mid America Raceway and Hobbies, Montgomery, Illinois, USA.
A thingie is any car that wasn't really made in a 1/1 scale (aka its not a production car like a Ford or Pontiac). Most of the cars were 1/24 scale but a few of the cars were 1/32 scale. And no all of the bodies were retro. There were some reproduction bodies on the cars that look like the originals but it was mostly originals.
I like slot cars!
