The Original United Cutlery Rambo 3 is made with J2 420 stainless steel, and made in Taiwan.

@ChoKoShiv YOU SURE THEY MAKE IN CHINA I THOUGHT THERE MAKE IN USA.I LOVE RAMBO KNIFE SO MUCH AND I WAS ABOUT TO BUY ONE RAMBO KNIFE AND ONE MORE THING I THOUGHT RAMBO KNIFE MAKE IN USA THIS IS WHAT MOTIVATE ME EVEN MORE TO GET A RAMBO KNIFE FOR DISPLAY.NEVER KNOW THAT THAT KNIFE IN THE VIDEO MAKE IN CHINA.

my dad has owned the united cutlery one for several years,and has used it to chop through limbs,barbwire with little problems,i for one love all the rambo knives and own all of them other than the boot knife,im getting rambo 1 for christmas and i have had no problems with any of them and i use them exstensivly on tree limbs up to and sometimes exceeding 6 inches thick,talking about my rambo 2,the rambo 4 is just a brute,it has cut everything i have made it to,but does need some sharpening.

both knifes are good but i think the Master Cutlery Version is better for me,he looks like more the original rambo 3 knife^^

is the rambo 3 a full tang knife? because the cheap Chinese KO is crap, its blade came out on me when I was chopping wood. I would not recommend any of the Rambo knives for hardcore use, they will all fall apart. I think the legit versions are made very close to the knock off chinese versions. IF they are, they they are actually dangerous to use. I will review a Chinese KO soon to show how bad they are - actually as a beware/warning against KO Rambo knives... they are dangerous

Choko, could either knife be used in the field? in your opinion is the steel used cheap...will it hold up to the real use...?

@SuperC457 They could be, but I wouldn't recommend heavy use. The United Cutlery version has better (440 stainless) steel (the MC version uses 420), but both are what I would consider "cheap" steel.
