after I saw the amazing demonstration by @reckless105 on how to use a tripod as a steadycam I tried with my camera. I was not sure about the result because of the weight of my camera with the lens, but I actually found the center of gravity there too. That means that the tripod is heavy enough to compensate the weight of the camera. This is just a first tryout on the fly. first time, no experience...still to me it seems like a good result. It's amazing how something that is usually so expensive, like a steadycam is just based on a very simple principle, the CG.
