Pikmin 2 :: Bringing Non-Blues into Submerged Castle

You can't do it. It's literally impossible without hacking.

I recorded myself attempting to enter Submerged Castle with blue, red, yellow, and white pikmin in my control, and only the blue pikmin showed up in the "Pikmin entering" count. If I had only a single white pikmin in my control and I tried to enter, the game would say I had no pikmin and it would be too dangerous to go down alone.

I also had a purple pikmin with me, but since they get thrown farther away than the other colors, I accidentally drowned it.

How come nobody decided to get a captain to take out pikmin, then the 2nd captain goes to the cave?

@bigyihsuan2 It would save zero time. I can only control 1 captain at a time, so splitting them up would be pointless. If you meant that I should have had one captain go to the cave and enter it while the other captain had control of the non-blues, that wouldn't have worked. Whatever captain chooses to enter the cave is the only one who gets to take down pikmin, all other pikmin get put back in their onions.

It's because if you could bring non-blues into the dungeon, specifically purples, you'd be able to beat the Water Wraith before his actual boss battle.

You can use your method in the Wii version of this game, since in the Wii pointer's whistle has infinite range.

1. Get Action replay for Gamecube

2. Turn on Invincibility

3, Your Pikmin will be allowed!!!!
