My Decision

Know that this isn't your fault, it's mine.
It should be about time, the sun loses it's shine.

This is the last piece I'm going to write.
So bare with me, through this lonely night.

My feelings for you will never seem to face away.
They've been locked in my heart, forever they'll stay.

I'm the one you'll remember from the past.
So keep your memories alive, please make them last.

Because, this is the end of you and I.
This is where we part, where I say goodbye.

Hate me if you must but this is the only way.
If I keep pushing, I won't last another day.

Know that I would never hurt you on purpose.
I never wanted it to end, not like this.

I just can't keep dealing with this kind of strife.
So it is my decision to walk out of your life.


Don't forgive me for what I'm about to do, hate me with all your heart.
For this is the only way we'll truly stay apart.

I realise now that there were too many mistakes.
Because of them all, I've learned to know, what it takes.

I've missed my chance, I know it's too late.
This is finally it, our fate.

You didn't want to wait the summer for me.
Maybe we just weren't meant to be.

So these are the last words I have for you.

Though we may never be together, you'll always be in my heart.

Forever.

I try to write poems based on my life, it really helps me think. Thank you by the way.

I'll have to admit, when poems become depressing. It may sometime bring out the best in people. I'll also admit my poem is pretty depressing as well. Haha.
