Just a curious remark: In Portugal the are "Casas de Fado", restaurants where you can eat, drink and talk while the Fado singer is performing. Many famous singers have started and some still sing regularly in such places, like Ana Moura for instance.

I agree that is bad to speak during a serious performance. An example of the opposite you can hear during performances of Eva Cassidy at clubs. I'ts perfect in this sense. But I don't believe it's a spreading vice.. We tend to think that things are getting worse everyday and that aint true I think. People are slightly imperfect that's all
