  • as far as excessive body movement taking away from the music is matter of opinion, I do beg differ with you because I have seen wonderful players play with body movement and it actually enhances the performance in terms of them conveying their musical feel and pace of a piece.

  • Smaller guitars aren't good for dynamics but some prefer them over normal scale ones. Just another way to be different I suppose. XD

  • @alyoshaproductions

have you seen the guy? he's huge...he doesnt need a small scale guitar. I would blame the sound of the basses on bad thumb technique

  • I'm pretty sure he's playing a smaller scale guitar--this would affect the bass response.

  • He is muting the bass notes from sustain. Part of first the peice. Also remember this recording is just fair. It could also be the guitar, who knows. His technique is wonderful with no excessive body movement as to not detract from the music like so many other players seem to do since Segovia passed

  • astonishing technique!

  • if his bass strings had less string tension, it would be appreciated more; that way the bass notes could ring longer and have more purity.
